By joining byteSense as a Patent Research Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company and the industry, while gaining invaluable experience in the exciting world of wearable technology—all from the comfort of your own home.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in C programming (not C++), with a foundation in:
  • Pointers
  • Memory management
  • Type conversions and endianess
  • Basic understanding of embedded interfaces, such as:
  • SPI
  • I2C
  • UART
  • Familiarity with higher-level embedded programming concepts, including:
  • Schedulers
  • Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Interrupts
  • Experience using embedded IDEs and integrating various SDKs (using Arduino will not be sufficient) is a plus.
  • Ability to read IC datasheets and develop high-quality drivers based on the specifications is a plus.
  • Strong documentation skills, including writing clear comments in code and creating user guides for interacting with the software.

Qualifications

  • Design, develop, and test embedded software in C for a variety of devices and systems.
  • Interface with hardware components through SPI, I2C, and UART protocols.
  • Contribute to real-time software solutions using RTOS and schedulers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Read and interpret IC datasheets, and write efficient drivers based on the specifications with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of code, user guides, and other relevant technical materials.
  • Continuously learn and improve your software development skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
